Material: loctite ind510
Status: prototype
This is a storage system designed for my Swatch watch collection. Each box, made from opal white loctite resin, is inspired by the iconic plastic cases produced by Swatch. Every module is designed to rotate around a cylindrical pivot, whose top section stores spare batteries and a 5-cent coin used to open the watch case back and replace the battery.
The rotating motion of the containers recalls the movement of a watch's hands. Once released, they return to their original position and lock together magnetically.
The system is designed to blend discreetly into a bookshelf, remaining unnoticed among the spines of the books.
